Harman to provide Changan Motors with audio, infotainment systems
Harman Worldwide Industries Corporation. discussed an agreement with Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. to provide audio systems and develop an infotainment system for that automaker’s new mid-sized luxury sedan.
The automaker’s CD101 model is going to be outfitted having a 10-speaker sound system, having a subwoofer and amplifier.
The U.S. audio systems supplier has four industrial facilities and 2 r&d centers that employ 1,200 employees in China.
This past year, Harman produced sales in China of $200 million, up from $35 million last year. The organization hopes to capture a 30 % share of China’s audio market by 2013.
